ISRO Recruitment 2023 : ISRO stands for the Indian Space Research Organization, which is the space agency of the Government of India. ISRO was established in 1969 with the objective of developing space technology and conducting space research.
ISRO has a wide range of responsibilities, including the development of satellite technology, the conduct of space science research, the launch of satellites for communication, remote sensing and navigation purposes, and the development of space applications for societal benefits. It is also responsible for India’s space policy and the implementation of international cooperation agreements in space.
Some of the major achievements of ISRO include the successful launch of the Chandrayaan-1 mission to the moon in 2008, the Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) in 2014, and the successful launch of a record 104 satellites on a single rocket in 2017. ISRO is also known for its low-cost satellite launches and has been able to develop its own satellite technology and launch vehicles, reducing the country’s dependence on foreign technology.
ISRO’s work has contributed significantly to India’s technological and scientific advancements, as well as to the development of applications that benefit society in areas such as telecommunications, remote sensing, meteorology, and disaster management.
